When precision, fit, and technical expertise come together at MASCOT, ideas are transformed into high-quality workwear, and as our new Pattern Designer, you play a key role in making this happen.
You are responsible for developing new styles and optimizing existing products, ensuring accurate construction, grading, and measurement specifications. From working with prototypes and conducting fittings to validating size sets and securing consistent quality, you are closely involved throughout the entire development process. In close collaboration with the Pattern Design team, project managers, and international production partners, you act as a technical specialist and sparring partner. You also contribute with 3D tools to support fittings and development, helping to ensure efficient workflows and precise results. With your structured approach and strong attention to detail, you help ensure that Mascot’s products meet high standards for fit, functionality, and quality every time.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop patterns for new styles and further refine existing standard products
- Construct base sizes and perform grading across size ranges
- Create and maintain measurement charts and technical specifications
- Conduct fittings, evaluate prototypes, and provide feedback on samples and size sets
- Measure and assess samples to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements
- Perform calculations and measurements for certified products
- Ensure continuous quality control of products, including both in-house production and external suppliers
- Collaborate closely with the Pattern Design team and international partners (e.g., production teams)
- Participate in project kick-off meetings and act as a technical sparring partner to project managers
- Work with 3D tools for virtual fittings, pattern development, and design proposals
- Contribute to the preparation of presentations for projects and stakeholders
- Provide backup support for pattern design colleagues when needed
What you bring:
- You have a degree from VIA university
- You have solid experience in pattern construction, grading, and garment development
- You bring a strong technical understanding of fit, sizing, and garment construction, including measurement charts and specifications
- You have experience working with digital tools, ideally including 3D pattern design and virtual fitting
- You are detail-oriented and have a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance
- You are well-organized, proactive and solution-oriented
- You have strong collaboration and communication skills and can work effectively in an international environment
- You speak fluently English, Danish is an advantage
