Head of Product Development

Location: MASCOT Headquarters, Pårup, Denmark
Travel: Approx. 10–20 days annually (primarily to the Far East)

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Head of Product Development to lead our talented team and take our design and development function to the next level. This is a leadership role with the mandate to drive product development strategy, ensure strong execution, and balance creativity with structure – all while delivering innovative products that meet customer needs and uphold MASCOT’s uncompromising standards of quality.

Your Role

As Head of Product Development, you will:

• Shape the product vision by leading the creation of innovative collections that strengthen MASCOT’s market position.
• Inspire and lead a team of talented designers, product managers, and specialists – ensuring creativity, motivation, and high performance.
• Structure and organize the Product Development department to create clear processes, well-defined responsibilities, and an efficient operating model.
• Establish systems for data collection and analysis across all projects to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Define, implement, and monitor relevant KPIs to track the department’s performance
• Plan and deliver multiple development projects simultaneously, driving efficiency without compromising innovation or quality.
• Balance creativity with structure, establishing processes and resource planning that support both design excellence and timely delivery.
• Ensure customer focus, developing products that anticipate user needs and market demands.
• Provide strong, visible leadership to align teams behind a shared vision and drive high-performance culture.

What You Bring

We imagine you have:

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, incl. proven experience in product development within textiles – ideally in functional clothing or workwear.
• Strong project management, planning, and process optimization skills with the ability to balance creativity and structured progress.
• Solid knowledge of materials, production methods, and quality standards.
• The ability to motivate, unleash creative potential, and develop diverse teams – balancing creative and data-driven profiles.
• Proven knowledge of the European market, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory standards.
• Hands-on experience with product development within in-house production environments, ensuring close collaboration between design, development, and manufacturing.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to turn insights into action.
• Excellent communication skills in Danish and English (written and spoken).
• A relevant commercial or technical master’s degree.
